The first stage of filming (out of what will presumably be three) for “Mr. Ashfish's Distant Rehab” has come to an end. Over the past few days, our studio and amazing team had the pleasure of working with around a dozen familiar faces — people who lent either their appearance or their voice to our game. Huge thanks to every single one of them!
Over the next month, we’ll be preparing for the next filming stage, reviewing and editing the footage we’ve already captured, and gradually introducing you to the characters and realities of our universe.
Among the people who supported “Mr. Ashfish's Distant Rehab” during the crowdfunding campaign, one of the most common questions was: “What kind of TV series will be included on the VHS tape in the collector’s edition?”
Well, here’s the answer: if the world of “Mr. Ashfish's Distant Rehab” has its own radio station, how could it possibly exist without the TV shows beloved by its characters? After all, American television in the 1980s became nothing short of legendary! And those legends eventually made their way to our country as well — a little later, in the 1990s.
Everyone remembers the Latin American soap operas, right? “Wild Rose,” “Simply Mar?a,” “The Rich Also Cry.” Technically, they weren’t American productions, but audiences all over the world rushed to their TV screens for every new episode — and viewers in the United States were no exception.
So naturally, the world of “Mr. Ashfish's Distant Rehab” has its own iconic series too. It’s called *Amor Prohibido* — “Forbidden Love.”
And the screenshot in this post features its main character: the hitman Guillermo Arriva. You’ll be able to uncover his story if you explore the game world carefully enough and manage to collect every VHS episode of the show.
Trust us — that won’t be easy.
